Social Media and PR Intern
While in my intern role, I had a number of responsibilities. PR was a large component of my role; I conducted influencer outreach for launches. To do so, I researched relevant influencers that aligned with each brand, crafted personalised pitches, and coordinated which products to send out. A particular accomplishment was organising influencer collaborations for the Eyewear Index 2023 Warehouse Sale, which resulted in over 184,000 views on Tiktok, helping to increase visibility of the event.
I additionally assisted in sourcing media mentions of Le Specs on a monthly basis to provide a PR overview, helping the team stay informed on the brand’s presence.
Within marketing, I supported social media management. I responded to and interacted with users on the Le Specs Instagram and Tiktok through comments, tags, and stories to boost user engagement and help implement a community. I also compiled tagged images, videos, and stories to be reposted as Le Specs content, helping to maintain engaging content that is consistent with the brand aesthetic. In a similar nature, I was responsible in using platform FourSixty to link Le Specs social media images to the web gallery both nationally and internationally, enhancing the user experience by helping users to visualise the products.
Through the internship,I was able to learn a deeper understanding of marketing, and particularly, the PR industry. This improved my ability to manage social media platforms and understand the importance of influencer participation in product campaigns. Overall, I was able to contribute to the promotion of Le Specs and Aire launches and events while enhancing the brand’s social media community.
