AAFW24 THIRD FORM

During Australian Fashion Week in 2024, I assisted THIRD FORM with social media and PR for their first AFW show through my internship with the brand. I played a vital role in helping capture the brand’s presence at the event and ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

My primary responsibilities involved filming and creating social media content for the show and assisting with sponsor and industry guests. In terms of social media, I assisted in filming content that captured both the behind the scenes and front-of-house. There was a focus on highlighting THIRD FORM show sponsors, such as Shark Hair and Bobbi Brown makeup, and depicting the little details that go into the event, such as model casting, pre-show styling, and fittings. Additionally, I shot notable show guests with the show photographer as they arrived, particularly those working with THIRD FORM.

Guest management was another important aspect of my role. Working with the PR manager, I welcomed industry guests and handed along backstage passes, including press and PR representatives from sponsors, ensuring they had a seamless access to required event areas. This required effective coordination and communication to maintain a professional role and atmosphere for the show.

Throughout the event, I learnt not only the ins and outs of a show but developed event support and guest management while multi-tasking social media content creation. I was able to manage my time efficiently while in a fast-paced and high stress environment to coordinate with different teams I was assisting. My work resulted in being able to capture effective social media content for THIRD FORM’s social channels that enhanced visibility of the brand’s first ever high fashion show.
